How much does this event cost?
Tickets are $95 - but students get a discounted rate of $45. Be sure to select "Student" ticket type when checking out, and you must bring a valid student photo-ID with you on registration day.
Why should I attend Startup 48? Is this event right for me?
This event is for anyone who is interested in entrepreneurship and wants to meet like-minded individuals in our community. Startup 48 attendees have a wide variety of backgrounds - including developers, coders, designers, marketers, financiers, and business owners. Regardless of your background, everyone from serial entrepreneurs to those who are just curious about startups are encouraged to attend!

If I can only attend two of the three days - can I still participate?

What ticket type should I register for?
We have two different categories of tickets - Technical and Non-Technical. Individuals who have experience in developing, coding, or designing apps or websites should purchase the technical tickets. Individuals who have skills in marketing, business, financing, etc. should purchase non-technical. If you have overlapping skills, please select the ticket that reflects the skills that you would like to be utilized during the event. Each ticket costs the same and has a reduced rate for students.
Every attendee may pitch an idea - regardless of ticket type. We recommend you purchase the ticket that best represents your skill set. (back to top)
Can I pay at the door?
Is this event student friendly?
Yes! University and college students are encouraged to attend. Discounted tickets are available during checkout (must show a student ID when registering on the first day of Startup 48). (back to top)
What type of ideas and/or startup are normally at this event?
The goal is to create an MVP (Minimal Viable Product) within 48 hours. Therefore, most ideas for Startup 48 center around web services, apps, and technology. (back to top)
Am I expected to stick with my team and continue working on the idea after the event?
While most teams choose to continue working together, it is not required. (back to top)
What should I bring to Startup 48?
All attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops, tablets, cell phones, etc. Wear some comfortable clothes, and be ready to collaborate and have fun!
All meals, along with a wide assortment of beverages will be provided and are included in your ticket. No alcohol is permitted at the event venue. To help out with waste reduction - you will also get your own coffee mug and water bottle that you can use during the event and keep. (back to top)
